Carolyn Hood Bennettsville -- Services for Mrs. Carolyn Herndon Hood, 70, will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday at Whitner-Evans Funeral Home with burial at 2 p.m. Friday in Forest Hills Cemetery, Rock Hill. Visitation is 1-1:45 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Marlboro Rescue Squad, P.O. Box 123, Bennettsville, SC 29512. Mrs. Hood, widow of Henry F. Hood Jr., died Monday, September 8, 2003. Born in Marlboro County, she was a daughter of Mrs. Cora Bryant Brewer and the late Ralph L. Herndon. She was employed with Marlboro Drug Company. Surviving are sons, Steven Craig Herndon and David Lee Herndon, both of Rock Hill; daughter, Mrs. Debra Koch of Menahga, Minn.; her mother of Bennettsville; sister, Patricia Barrow of Chapin; three grandchildren submitted by Helen Lane Wiggins
