Junius Freeman Mullins -- Mr. Junius Franklin Freeman, 84, died Wednesday, September 17, 2003, in McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Friday, September 19, at the chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Cedardale Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Mr. Freeman was born August 26, 1919, in Marlboro County, a son of the late William Franklin Freeman and the late Carrie Sports Freeman. Mr. Freeman had retired from Ford Motor Company. He was a U.S. Army veteran, having served during World War II. He was a member of Parnassus United Methodist Church in Marlboro County. Surviving Mr. Freeman are three sons, Frankie Freeman of Cochran, Ga., Wayne Freeman of Nebraska and Ricky Freeman of Virginia; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; five sisters, Lottie Freeman of Mullins, Edna McDowell of Blenheim, Aliene Barrington of Bennettsville, Gertrude Haynes of Marion and Willie Mae Turner of Mullins and a number of nieces and nephews.
