Shadie Lane English (August 12, 1916 - September 21, 2003) LATTA Shadie Lane English, 87,died Sunday, September 21, 2003, at her residence after an illness. Funeral services will be held 3:00 P.M. Tuesday in Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Catfish Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 p.m. Monday evening in Cooper Funeral Home. Born in Dillon County, August 12, 1916, she was the daughter of the late Lewis Gregory Lane and Maggie Mae Cox Lane. She was a member of Manning Chapel United Methodist Church, and was a homemaker. She was the widow of the late Woodrow Robert English. Survivors include her daughters, Doris Faye English Roy of Allendale, SC, Sally E. Morton of Laurinburg, NC, Shirley (Clifton) English Swan of Bennettsville, and Sheila (Sonny) English Phillips of Latta; sons, Woodrow (Peggy) Robert English, and Herbert (Betty) Lewis English all of Latta, Tracy (Gail) F. English, and J. (Carolyn) Floyd English all of Blenheim, and Jerry (Patsy) Wayne English of Grifton, NC; sisters, Carrie Mae Malcheskey of Springfield, MA and Johnnie Sarvis of Salinas, CA; 20 grandchildren, 27 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
