Winnie Rogers Bennettsville -- Services for Mrs. Winnie Canuet Rogers, 79, will be held at 4 p.m. Saturday at First United Methodist Church with burial in Hebron Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the church, P.O. Box 456, Bennettsville, SC 29512. Visitation is at the home, 1121 Salem Highway. Whitner-Evans Funeral Home is in charge. Mrs. Rogers died Thursday, August 7, 2003. Born in Marlboro County, she was a daughter of the late Wesley Corrie Moore Canuet. She was married to the late Rev. Theus Rogers and was active in their ministries in Lake View, Johnsonville, Simpsonville, Denmark, Mauldin, Walhalla and Tatum/Hebron/and Ebenezer. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and was a former Associate Statistician for the S.C. United Methodist Conference. She was active in church and civic affairs throughout the state and was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution. Surviving are sons, Dr. Theus Wesley Rogers (Sue) of Columbus, GA, Dr. John Felix Rogers (Susan) of Atlanta; daughters, Martha Winifred Rogers and Sally Elizabeth Rogers, both of Greenville; sisters, Gertrude Shelton of Fayetteville, GA, and Dorothy Karabedian of Toledo, OH; five grandchildren; two great-grandchildren. submitted by Helen Lane Wiggins
