Can anyone help me? I am looking for vital information concerning Alexander H. Rascoe. Especially his date of death and place of burial. This is what I know or think I know about Alexander H. Rascoe. He was born about 1837 in Marlboro County South Carolina. It is believed that his father was Purrington Rascoe. Alexander H. Rascoe served in the S.C. 21st Infantry, Company "F" CSA during the War Between the States. He was married at least three times. His first wife was listed in the 1870 census as Parky. It is believed that her maiden sur-name might have been McCall or McCauel. His second wife was Elizabeth Carlye. She died 16 January 1884. His third wife was Sarah A. Gibson. They were married 6 December 1885. Alexander H. Rascoe was still living in the Bennettsville area when the 1910 census was taken. From the combined data from the 1870, 1880, 1900, and 1910 censuses it appears that his children were: 1. John Rascoe born abt. 1865.Md. Martha (unk.) 2. Mary C. Rascoe born abt 1867-68. 3. Alice Rascoe born about 1869. 4. Colan Rascoe born abt.1869. (was living in the home of an uncle named W.K. Kenney in Charleston, S.C. in 1900). 5. Daniel Rascoe born abt 1869-70. 6. Annie A. Rascoe born abt. 1870. 7. Ollie M. Rascoe born abt 1891, died abt. July 1904. 8. LeRoy Rascoe born 2 Dec. 1892. Died in February 1970 at Bennettville. 9. Daniel Rascoe (2nd) born 12 Sept. 1894. Died January 1967 ar Cheraw. 10. Step-daughter, Elvia Rascoe, born abt. 1906. 11. Step-son, Alexander Rascoe, born abt. 1908. I am also interested in knowing the exact date of Alexander H. Rascoe's birth as well as the birth and death dates of his father, Purrington Rascoe (abt. 1802-5 to abt 1861) and where (which cemetery) he is buried in. Any help would be appreciated. James R. Rasco
