Does anyone have any idea where I could find records for marriages performed in the Catholic Church in or around Newberry District? Specifically, close to Maybinton? My Slatterys were Catholic; Mother was Caroline ONeal, m. Thomas Slattery, son of Piercy Slattery. Daughters were my g.grandmother, Frances, who m. my g.grandfather, a Methodist preacher in AR (John Wesley Bridges); Julie Slattery, who married Samuel Wesley Murtishaw in Maybinton (he was also protestant); Sarah C. Slattery, who married in 1870 Joseph Kelly from Fairfield County. I think probably Joseph Kelly was Catholic but not surewould a Catholic marriage have been listed in the SOUTHERN CHRISTIAN ADVOCATE?
