FLORENCE -- Services for Mrs. Sally McKinnon Smith, 94, will be at 11 a.m. today in Hebron Cemetery in Clio. Memorials may be made to the McLeod Foundation, P.O. Box 100501, or Central United Methodist Church, 225 W. Cheves St., Florence, SC 29501. Whitner-Evans Funeral Home, Bennettsville, is in charge. Mrs. Smith died Friday, May 3. Born in Marlboro County, she was a daughter of the late James Fairley and Mary Annie Frazier McKinnon. She was a graduate of Winthrop College and was a retired school teacher, having taught in Mauldin and Rowland. She was a former home economist for the Clemson University Extension Service in Marion County. A former resident of Mullins, she was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church in Mullins. She was a member of the Flora Bunda Garden Club and was married to the late James Whiteford Smith. Surviving are a daughter, Mrs. Ann Paxton of Florence; stepsons, James Allen Smith of Appomattox, Va., and Lewis Bernard Smith of Urbana, Va.; and a nephew, William McKinnon Stanton of Garner, N.C.
