McCOLL - Retha Hardwick Ray, 82, died Tuesday, May 7, 2002. She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Bishop and Ruby Edwards Hardwick. She was the widow of Harley Leon Ray. She retired from textiles. Survivors include a son, Harley B. Ray of McColl; a sister, Alene Johnson of Galivants Ferry; seven grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by a daughter, Shirley Johnson and five brothers, James Hardwick, Fred Hardwick, Ernest Hardwick, Issac Hardwick and M.B. Hardwick. The funeral was Thursday. Burial was in Rogers Cemetery. Rogers Funeral Home is in charge.
