There was a 14 year old farm laborer living on the farm of William K. Sweatt when the 1880 census was taken of Smithville township, Marlboro County South Carolina. His name was JOHN MENDER. Can anyone tell me anything more on this John Minder? Did he remain in Marlboro County? Was he married in Marlboro County? If so, to whom? Did he have children and if so what were their names?
