BENNETTSVILLE -- Mrs. Jeanette Cope Brown, 65, died Wednesday, April 17, 2002. Funeral service is 11 AM Saturday at Thomas Memorial Baptist Church, with burial in Sunset Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to Hospice of Marlboro County, PO Box 474, Bennettsville, SC 29512, or a charity of one's choice. Visitation is 7-9 PM Friday at Whitner-Evans Funeral Home. Born in Marlboro County, she was a daughter of the late Marvin K., Sr. and Lula Stevens Cope. She was a retired banker with Wachovia and an office assistant with McColl Gin Company. She was a member of Thomas Memorial Baptist Church and was married to the late Norman L. Brown. Surviving is one son, Rocky Brown of Bennettsville; a daughter, Mrs. Paige B. McMillan of Bennettsville; a brother, Marvin K. Cope, Jr. of Bennettsville; sisters, Sarah Andrews of Surfside Beach, Vera Thompson of El Paso, TX; and two grandchildren. Whitner-Evans Funeral Home of Bennettsville is assisting the Brown family.
