LAURINBURG - James Moody, 84, of Willow Haven Nursing Center, formerly of Maxton, died Friday, July 18, 2003. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Sandy Grove Baptist Church in Maxton by the Rev. Donnie Pratt. Burial will be in McLeod Cemetery in Maxton. Arrangements are being handled by Jackson Funeral Home. Mr. Moody is survived by four sons, Wade Rogers of Bladenboro, James Moody of Bennettsville, S.C., Sylvester Moody and Raymond Moody, both of Laurinburg; a daughter, Iris Smith of Laurinburg; four stepsons, Cleveland McNeill, Warren McNeill and Bobby McNeill, all of New Jersey, and James McNeill of Maxton; two stepdaughters, Corrine Arline of Camden, N.J., and Nancy McNeill of New Jersey; 15 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
