    3. Here are my lost people. Has anyone seen them? George Clark b. 1760 -1770. d. 1841. He lived and died in Marion Co. He married Sarah Ann ? who died in 1844, also in Marion Co. Their children were George Jr., Meedy, Nancy who married Peter Sanders, Burgess, Delilah who never married that I know of, Kenion who married Martha ?, Mary, Sarah who married Newton Hayes, and another daughter who married a John Kanady. John Kanady and the unnamed daughter had Nancy and Sarah. Sarah married Robert McKenzie. They also had a Rachel and other kids. Kenion moved to Marlboro Co and died of typhoid fever in November of 1849. I dont have a clue as to where he is buried. He was born in 1810, probably in Marion Co. His wife Martha J, (possibly Johnson) was born on Oct 25, 1805 and died on Dec. 8, 1895. She is buried in Brownsville Bapt. Church Cemetary. They were the parents of Sarah Mahalia b. May 11, 1836 d. Oct 27, 1910 she is also buried at Brownsville. Jemima b. April 20, 1839 d. March 7, 1908 m. Robert W. Hayes. Both are buried at Brownsville. Martha Ann, Louisa and Kenion Jr. Sarah Mahalia was the mother of John James , Evander David, Erasmus, Daniel Wade Hampton, and Martha Ella. I have been told that Mahalia was married to Daniel Clark, but dont have any proof. Evander David married Katherine "Kate" Wallace. Their son John, married Nettie Powers. Nettie's mother was Sallie McKenzie, granddaughter of Robert McKenzie and George Clark's unknown daughter. I think George's father was Thomas. I found an 1791 SC will that lists a George as a son. It's just a hunch on my part!!! Has anyone seen my lost kinfolks? Susan

I hadn't blocked posting by non-subscribers because I know that several of you have multiple email addresses and might need to post from one of your "non-subscribed" addresses. It's a shame the spammers won't leave anyone alone but that's life on the Net. Henceforth they will have to subscribe to the list in order to post and if that doesn't work, then I'll set up the list so that every subscription has to be personally approved by me. I'd hate to do that but... Let's see how it goes. Cheers, Victoria Proctor Listowner

    1. [SCMARLBO-L] HENDERSON Family
    2. Mark Migura
    3. I am looking for any info on the family of Alexander HENDERSON who was born in Scotland about 1770 and moved to South Carolina in Marlboro county between 1770 and 1785. I believe his father may have been Archibald HENDERSON, who was born abt 1750 and died about 1806 in Marlboro County. In an abstract I found on South Carolina wills, it lists an Alexander HENDERSON as the Administrator of Archibald HENDERSON's will in 1807-1808 in Marlboro county. I have seen Alexander HENDERSON and Archibald HENDERSON in the 1800 census of Marlboro county, and then Alexander HENDERSON again in the 1810 census. I know that Alexander HENDERSON was married to Catherine (Unknown), about 1790. Alexander HENDERSON applied for a passport through Georgia and into the Mississippi Territory in Nov. 1810, along with his wife and 4 children. They ended up in Monroe County, Alabama, as they appeared in an 1816 Monroe county census. I believe that Alexander HENDERSON may also have had a brother named James HENDERSON, as he was kiving next to Alexander HENDERSON in Monroe county, Alabama for a number of years. It is also possible that Alexander may have had another brother named John HENDERSON, as he was living close to Alexander HENDERSON in Marlboro county, in 1800 and 1810. I'll be happy to share all info I have on this family. Thanks Mark
