NICHOLS - Bobby F. McKenzie, age 72, passed away after a long illness Saturday, August 30, 2008, in the Marion County Medical Center. Mr. McKenzie was the son of the late Bonnie Franklin and Lucille Hardy McKenzie. Mr. McKenzie was the owner and operator of the IGA Grocery Store in Nichols for many years. He was a member of the Nichols Baptist Church and served in many capacities at the Church. He was a Deacon and former Sunday School teacher. Surviving are his wife of 54 years, Bobbie Causey McKenzie of the home; son, Ricky McKenzie of Nichols; daughter, Debbie Anderson (Barry) of Nichols; one brother, Paul McKenzie (Beryl) of Alabama; three sisters, Dorothy M. Lane, Beaufort, S.C., Barbara Guffee (Gary) of Pendleton, S.C., Shirley Holder (Roger) of Latta, S.C.; two grandchildren, Hunter McKenzie and Shana Kaitlyn McKenzie. Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 31, 2008, at 4 p.m. at the Nichols Baptist Church in Nichols. Dr. Floyd Enzor and Reverend John Wallace will officiate.
