MARION — Mrs. Daisy Belle Cooper Huggins Campbell, 87, died Thursday, August 28, 2008 at Marion County Medical Center after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Saturday, August 30 at Marion Church of God, with Rev. Steve Small and Rev. Allan Black officiating. Burial will follow in Reedy Creek Cemetery, directed by Smith-Collins Funeral Home. Mrs. Campbell was born January 19, 1921 in Marion County, a daughter of the late Archie and Alice Shelley Cooper. She had worked with Heritage Sportswear and was a homemaker. Mrs. Campbell was a member of Marion Church of God. Surviving Mrs. Campbell are: her Children: Bobbie Jean King of Marion, Jewell Harrelson of Sumter, Billy Huggins of Columbia, Willie Huggins of Marion and Betty Small of Laurinburg, N.C.; her Stepchildren: Pat Skipper, Marie McIntyre, Faye Grant, Freddie Campbell and Billy Campbell, all of Marion; 9 Grandchildren; 19 Great Grandchildren; 9 Step-Grandchildren; 7 Step-Great Grandchildren; and a Sister: Gladys C. Soles of Marion. Mrs. Campbell was predeceased by her first husband, Liston Huggins; her second husband, Alva Campbell; a son, Jackie Huggins; 2 daughters, Helen Floyd and Mary Alexander; and a brother, Neil Cooper.
