GALIVANTS FERRY — Aiken Sarvis, age 96, wife of the late Neal P.C. Sarvis of Sarvis Road passed away July 4, 2008, at Marion County Medical Center surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Sarvis was born October 15, 1911, in Conway, a daughter of the late Samuel Allen Jenerette and Martha Hardwick Jenerette. She was a member of Gethsemane Baptist Church and an avid quilter. Surviving Mrs. Sarvis are a son, Victor Sarvis and his wife Martha of Nichols; two daughters, Doris Hegge of Mullins, Jeanette Busse and her husband Adrian of Raleigh, N.C.; a brother, Mac Jenerette of Conway; 11 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great- great- grandchildren. Mrs. Sarvis was predeceased by a son, Sam Sarvis; a grandson, Anthony Hammond; two brothers, Pick and Joe Jenerette; and a sister, Addie Johnson. The Sarvis family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday, July 6, 2008, at Johnson Funeral Home of Aynor. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Monday July 7, 2008, at Gethsemane Baptist Church with the Rev. Gordon Graham, Rev. Johnny Jenerette, and Rev. Lonnie Johnson officiating.
