LAKE VIEW — Mrs. Leila Soles Driggers, 83, widow of Osborne E. Driggers, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at home after an extended illness. Funeral services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Tuesday, July 22 at the Chapel of Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins, with Rev. Charles Tarte, Rev. Gene Morgan and Rev. Willie Gillard officiating. Burial will follow in Devotion Gardens Cemetery. Mrs. Driggers was born September 22, 1924 in Horry County, a daughter of the late Earl Jackson and Retha Bell Soles. She was a homemaker and attended Trinity Holiness Church at Gaddys Mill. Surviving Mrs. Driggers are: 7 Daughters: Catherine Suggs of Loris, Evelyn Elvington and her husband Donald of Lake View, Wanda Gail Small and her husband Teenie of Loris, Audrey Boatwright and her husband Alton of Marion, Jeannette Walters of Lake View, Willa Ree Miller and her husband Billy Ray of Lake View and Lisa Driggers of Dillon; 7 Sons: J.W. Driggers of Mullins, Eugene Driggers and his wife Ginger of Nichols, Carlton Driggers and his wife Cathy of Lake View, Donnie Ray Driggers of Mullins, Douglas Driggers and his wife Dell of Lake View, Shelton Driggers and his wife Debbie of Nichols and Ralph Driggers and his wife Karen of Georgia; 45 Grandchildren; 73 Great Grandchildren; 2 Brothers: Junior Soles of New York, N.Y. and Clyde Soles of Whiteville, N.C. ; and a Sister: Lucy Mae Hyatt of Rock HIll. Mrs. Driggers was predeceased by a daughter, Patricia Britt and a grandson, Jimmy Dale Elvington. Visitation will be held Monday evening from 7 til 9 P.M. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home of Mullins.
