Many thanks, Peggy Price MULLINS | Gene Baker Lewis, 58, widower of Alice Cox Lewis, died Friday, June 16, 2006 at Marion County Medical Center after an illness. Gene was born June 2, 1948 in Marion County, a son of the late Pearly and Mary Ethel Smith Lewis. He worked with the City of Mullins Maintenance Department. Surviving are two sons, Tony Lewis and his wife, Tammy, of Mullins and Chad Lewis and his wife, April, of Mullins; three grandchildren, Brandon James Lewis, Casey Nicole Lewis and Bryson Edward Lewis; a sister, Shirley L. Turner of Aynor; a brother, Robert ''Buddy'' Lewis of Mullins; and several nieces and nephews. Graveside services will be held at 4 p.m. on Sunday, June 18, 2006 in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, with the Rev. Jeremiah Henderson officiating.
