MULLINS | Mrs. Shelby Smith Rogers, 64, wife of W. L. ''Billy'' Rogers Jr., died Monday, June 26, 2006 at the Medical University of South Caroline in Charleston after an illness. Mrs. Rogers was born Dec. 4, 1941 in Marion County, a daughter of the late William Leneau Johnson and the late Evie Lauvania Gasque Johnson. She retired from Anvil Knitwear after 35 years of service. She was a 1959 graduate of Mullins High School. Mrs. Rogers was a member of Macedonia United Methodist Church. Surviving Mrs. Rogers in addition to her husband of the home are a son, G. Patrick Smith III and his wife, Kristin, of Florence; two grandchildren, Pat Smith and Ben Smith; a stepson, Bill Rogers and his wife, Dale, of Mullins; and three step-grandchildren, Logan Rogers, Katherine Rogers and Jeffre Rogers. Mrs. Rogers was predeceased by her first husband, George ''Pat'' Smith Jr. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, June 29th at Macedonia United Methodist Church, with the Rev. Bruce Sayre and the Rev. Paul Frey officiating. Burial will follow in Cedardale Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Macedonia United Methodist Church, 402 N.
