MULLINS — Vera Sellers Maready, age 94, died Wednesday, June 21, 2006, in Lexington Medical Center. She was the daughter of the late T.W. and Sarah Bryant Sellers. She was former president of the Home Demonstration Club, vice president of the Ladies Bible Class, Sunday school teacher and chairman of the Flower Committee. Mrs. Maready was preceded in death by her husband, J. Frank Maready, and one daughter, Katrina M. Hargett. Also, one brother, French Sellers and two stepsisters, Dale Sellers Moody and Ruth Sellers Bryant. Mrs. Maready is survived by three sons, Billy Frank Maready and his wife, Brenda, of Winston-Salem, N.C., Jack Donald Maready and his wife, Polly, of Pleasanton, Calif., and David Joe Maready and his wife, Brenda, of West Columbia, S.C.; one daughter, Shelby Maready of Sacramento, Calif., and one sister, Beuna S. Simpson, of Charlotte, N.C.; 17 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren and one great-great-granddaughter. Funeral service will be Friday, June 23, 2006, at 11 a.m. at Mullins First Baptist Church, Rev. Jim Kirkland officiating. Burial will follow in Devotion Gardens. Meares Funeral Home of Mullins has been given the honor of serving the family of Mrs. Maready.
