DILLON — Leon Aron Moody, 75, died Wednesday, June 7, 2006, in McLeod Medical Center-Dillon after an illness. Funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, June 10th, at Cooper Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be 6-8 p.m. Friday, June 9th, at the funeral home. Born December 2, 1930, in Dillon County, he was the son of the late Aaron J. Moody and Mattie Lee Butler Moody. He was a member of Bermuda Baptist Church. A U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean Conflict, he attended U.S.C., and was an avid Gamecock fan. He worked assorted management positions and was a former member of the Dillon County Council. Survivors include his sons, Chris (Sharon) Moody, Glenn (Debra) Moody, and Danny (Robin) Moody, all of Dillon; daughter, Melissa (Greg) Rouse of Myrtle Beach; sister, Lorene (Paul) Hayes of Dillon; brother, Elrid (Kay) Moody of Dillon; 10 grandsons; and caring friend, Earline Moody. Mr. Moody was preceded in death by his granddaughter, Martha Moody, and a brother, Carson Moody. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the charity of one’s choice.
