YRTLE BEACH | JoAnn Clardy, 74, wife of the late Dick Wilson Clardy, died Thursday, February 26, 2009 at Tidelands Hospice House in Georgetown. Mrs. Clardy was born in Socastee, South Carolina, a daughter of Etta Wilson West and the late W.K. West. She was a member of Socastee Baptist Church, and was predeceased by a sister, Marvodene Bone; and a brother, William Gerald West. Surviving are one son, Kenneth Clardy and wife, Melissa, of Marion; two daughters, Renee Clardy Squires and husband, Randy, and Dana Clardy Palm and husband, David, all of Conway; nine grandchildren, Russell Clardy and wife, Dana, Crystal Howell and husband, Derek, Kendra Clardy, Jennifer Squires, David Wilson Palm, Colin Palm, Nikki Gasque, Misty Larrimore, and Cory Larrimore; 12 great-grandchildren, Nickalous Howell, Lillian Howell, Jacob Clardy, Megan Collins, Allison Gasque, Malachi Gasque, Zander Larrimore, Jaden Larrimore, Jarrett Anderson, Morgan Melton, Alexus Thompson, and Spencer Thompson. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Monday, March 2, 2009 at Socastee Baptist Church with the Rev. Micah Lane officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Beach Chapel.
