NICHOLS | Mrs. Doris Hayes Huggins, 86, passed away Friday, February 27, 2009, at Loris Community Hospital, surrounded by her family. Mrs. Huggins was born in Horry County, South Carolina, a daughter of the late Emory and Curly Hooks Hayes. She was preceded in death by her husband, S.B. Huggins. Mrs. Huggins was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church in the Mt. Olive Community. Survivors include two sons, Harry Huggins of Nichols and Stacey Huggins of Columbia; a daughter, Reta Farish of Murrells Inlet; four grandchildren, Chad Huggins of Lake View, Wendy Huggins Bracey of Nichols, Kip Huggins of Columbia, and Hayes Huggins of Columbia; and five great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, March 1, 2009, at Mt. Olive Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Phil Fishbach officiating. Family will receive friends at the cemetery following the service.
