MULLINS — Juanita Braziel Pridgen, 84, died Friday, March 13, 2009 at Marion County Medical Center. Mrs. Pridgen was born in Chester County, a daughter of the late James Ira and Myrtle Estelle Kirby McGill. She was a member of the Mullins First Baptist Church and the Dorcas Sunday School Class. She was predeceased by her first husband, James Wesley Braziel; her second husband, Raymond Pridgen; and a brother, James Furman McGill. She is survived by one son, Larry Braziel and his wife, Alice of Myrtle Beach; one stepson, Dan Pridgen and his wife Susan of Mullins; four sisters, Virginia Cook of Rock Hill, S.C., Mattie Hamrick of Greenville, S.C., Katherine(Gene) Pate of Atlanta, Georgia, and Mary(Robert) Brewer of Rock Hill, S.C.; four grandchildren, Lara Braziel, Helen(Chris) Athey, James(Sharon) Braziel, and Dietrich(Jodi) Braziel; one stepgranddaughter, Leslie Pridgen, and four great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, March 17, 2009 in the chapel of Meares Funeral Home of Mullins, S.C. Visitation will be from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Monday, March 16, 2009 at the funeral home. Interment will follow at 3:30 p.m. at Royal Pines Cemetery in Winnsboro, S.C.
