AYNOR — Bera Jane Johnson, 84, widow of E.L. Johnson, died Sunday, April 2, 2006, at Marion County Medical Center. Mrs. Johnson was born in Mullins, a daughter of the late Ebb and Cornie Goff Johnson. Mrs. Johnson was a homemaker and member of Happy Home Baptist Church, where she had taught childrens classes and was involved for more than 50 years with WMU. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by her stepmother, Belle Jones Johnson; four brothers, Major M. Johnson, Leon M. Johnson, Ebb Johnson Jr. and Lester Johnson; and two sisters, Mary J. Johnson and Lorine J. Evans. Surviving are four sons, James M. Johnson and his wife, Vera, of Florence, Kenneth E. Johnson and his wife, Jean, of Conway, David O. Johnson and his wife, Gail, of Mt. Pleasant and Travis O. Johnson and his wife, Judy, of Aynor; two daughters, Vera J. Bennett of Moncks Corner and Carolyn J. Drew of Aynor; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; four brothers, Joseph F. Johnson of Loris, Roger D. Johnson of Winter Haven, Fla., James B. Johnson of Galivants Ferry and Randell W. Johnson of Nichols; four sisters, Corine J. Lewis of Pensacola, Fla., Shelby J. Herring of Nichols, Shirley J. Mishoe of Pensacola, Fla., and Winnie J. Wise of Mullins; and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday, April 5, at Happy Home Baptist Church, with the Rev. Micah Lane and the Rev. Douglas Johnson officiating. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Cemetery.
