CONWAY | Jackson ''Jack'' Grover Boatwright Jr., age 72, of Steep Landing Road, died Wednesday, April 26, 2006 at Conway Manor. Mr. Boatwright was born in Marion, the son of the late Jackson Grover Boatwright Sr. and Jimmie Rowell Boatwright. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Conway. He graduated from Carlisle Military School and U.S.C. with a Bachelor of Science degree. He retired from Midlands Technical College as manager of the bookstore. Mr. Boatwright was predeceased by a brother, Frank Y. Boatwright. Survivors include his wife, Wilmarie Boatwright of Conway; one son, Dr. Russell Boatwright and his wife, Patrice, of Conway; one daughter, Tammy Boatwright Duryea and her husband, Dan, of Bluffton, S.C.; four grandchildren, Russ and Chandler Boatwright of Conway, Savanna and Taylor Clary of Bluffton, S.C., and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral services will be held 10 a.m., Friday, at the First United Methodist Church of Conway with the Rev. Reginald Thackston and the Rev. Ben Barnett officiating. Burial will follow in Rosehill Cemetery, Marion. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., Thursday, at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel.
