    2. MYRTLE BEACH | Frederick Louis Horinbein, 82, died Wednesday, April 5, 2006 at his home. He was born Nov. 28, 1923 in Marion, a son of the late Israel Benjamin and Ida Shore Horinbein. Mr. Horinbein graduated from Marion High School and the Citadel. He was the former owner of the Horinbein Agency in Marion and was owner of Southlantic Water Systems. Mr. Horinbein was an active member and former treasurer of the board of deacons of Glenns Bay Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. Surviving are his wife of 57 years, Doris Spivey Horinbein; a son, Larry B. Horinbein and wife, Patricia, of Myrtle Beach; three daughters, Linda Toporek of Mt. Pleasant, Gale Horinbein of Summerville and Patrice Landrum of Little River; his eight grandchildren, Frederick, Sarah, Candace, Kelly, Alex, Emily, Jeremy and Brittney; and his three great-grandchildren, Ruby, Tribe and Ava. A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. on Saturday, April 8, 2006 at Glenns Bay Baptist Church, with Pastor Bob Teems officiating.
