MULLINS — Mrs. Rebecca D. “Becky” Summey of Mullins passed away at her residence on April 15, 2006, after an extended illness. She was predeceased by her husband, Gordon, of 40 years. Becky was the daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. W.H. Darby and was born in Morganton, N.C., on March 10, 1922. She is survived by a loving and caring daughter, Anne (Bryant) Welch of Florence and their son and favorite grandson, Stan Harrelson of Columbia; a son, Gordon (Debbie) Summey of Spartanburg and 5 other grandchildren. She is also survived by 6 very loving and caring caregivers who treated her like their own mother. They are Marshall Williams, Mildred Shaw, Annette Platt, Charlene Lee, Margaret Weeks and Mamie Kinney. Also, a loving Home Health Nurse, Rhonda Sanders. She was very active in the Mullins Presbyterian Church until her illness. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 7 til 8 p.m. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, April 19, in Devotion Gardens Cemetery, with Rev. Jason Brewer and Rev. George Ganey officiating.
