    2. GALIVANTS FERRY| Hal Mark Thompkins of Jordanville Road, died Thursday, April 13, 2006 at Conway Medical Center. Mr. Thompkins was born in Mullins, the son of Julia Carolina Richardson Thompkins Anderson and the late Troy Howard Thompkins. Mr. Thompkins was self-employed as a brick mason for more than 30 years. He also enjoyed living and working on his farm in Galivants Ferry. He was predeceased by two brothers, Billy Joe Thompkins and Jennings Thompkins. Surviving in addition to his mother of Galivants Ferry are his wife, Nanette Thompkins; his stepfather, Norman ''Jack'' Anderson of Galivants Ferry; two sons, Heath Thompkins and Joe Thompkins, both of Marion; one grandson, Tyler Thompkins of Marion; one brother, Andy Thompkins of Galivants Ferry; one sister, Hilda Hucks and her husband, Joe, of Galivants Ferry; and several nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held 2 p.m. Sunday, April 16, 2006 at Mt. Herman Baptist Church, with the Rev. Jimmy Floyd and the Rev. Leroy Larrimore officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday, April 15, 2006 at the funeral home.
