MULLINS — Mr. Johnny Harold Lewis, 72, husband of Betty Mac Lewis, and a wonderful father, died Thursday, April 6, 2006, at his home after an illness. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at Rains Freewill Baptist Church, with Rev. Tony Miles officiating. Burial will follow in Red Hill Memorial Gardens Cemetery, directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Mr. Lewis was born August 22, 1933, in Fairmont, N.C., a son of the late John Berter Lewis and the late Rosa Anna Ivey Lewis. He was a masonry contractor. Mr. Lewis, a faithful Christian, was a member of Rains Freewill Baptist Church, where he served as Deacon. Surviving Mr. Lewis in addition to his wife of the home are his children, Gail Lewis Huggins and her husband, Richard, of Galivants Ferry, Johnny L. Lewis of Mullins, Michael Lewis and his wife, Diana, of Mullins, Misty Lewis Hucks and her husband, Shane, of Mullins and Mark Lewis and his wife, Sheila, of Mullins; his grandchildren, Kenny Huggins, Wesley Huggins, Kim miles, Hannah Lewis, Michael Brandon Lewis, Samuel Blake Lewis, Joshua Storm Lewis, Kassie Lewis, Matthew Harrelson, Haley Lewis and Sydney Lewis; his great-grandchildren, Colby Huggins, Taylor Miles, Mallory Huggins, Landon Miles, Jonathon Huggins and Breanna Lewis; and a sister, Nellie Lupo of Fairmont, N.C. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 7 till 9 p.m. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
