MULLINS | Mrs. Sallie Louise Jackson Suggs, 92, widow of Timothy Lee Suggs died Sunday, September 17, 2006 at Marion County Medical Center. Mrs. Suggs was born July 28, 1914 in Marlboro County, a daughter of the late Fred Jackson and the late Mary Ella Jackson Driggers. She retired from AVM. Mrs. Suggs was a member of Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Suggs are her children, Homer Suggs and his wife, Shirley, of Asheboro, N.C., Bernice Collins and her husband, Clyde, of Mullins, Cecil Suggs and his wife, Marilyn, of Little River, Harold Suggs and his wife, Lynn, of Mullins and Ronnie Suggs and his wife, Jean, of Mullins; a daughter-in-law, Sylvia Suggs of Lake View; 18 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and three sisters, Naomi Floyd of Trinity, N.C., Virginia Jones of Mullins and Dorothy Miller of Mullins. Mrs. Suggs was predeceased by a son, Marvin Suggs; a daughter, Doris Suggs Ford; and a granddaughter, Angela Suggs. Visitation will be held Monday evening, September 18, 2006 from 6 until 8 p.m. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Tuesday. September 19, 2006 at Mullins-Marion Freewill Baptist Church with the Rev. Neil Hinson, the Rev. Sam Johnson and the Rev. Glenn Ailshie officiating.
