BRITTONS NECK | Archie Wilson Larimore, 91, of Bay Road died Wednesday, September 6, 2006 at his residence following an illness. Mr. Larimore was born in Marion County, a son of the late Lawrence Sump and Millie Gertrude Sawyer. He was predeceased by his first wife, Laura Mae Richardson Larimore; a son, Hubert Larimore; two brothers, Tom Larimore and Zack Larimore; and two sisters, Mary Ellen Larimore and Gerona Johnston. Mr. Larimore was a lifetime member of Piney Grove Baptist Church. Surviving are his wife, Florence Richardson Larimore of Brittons Neck; four sons, Archie Wendell Larimore and his wife, Alice, of Aynor, Albert Carol Larimore and his wife, Bertha, and Harold Lee Larimore and his wife, Nancy, all of West Columbia and Lawrence Ray Larimore of Orangeburg; one daughter, Edith L. Glasgow and her husband, Bobby, of Conway; one brother, Henry Troy Larimore and his wife, Nancy, of Brittons Neck; two sisters, Clara Carolina Bourne of Rains and Eula Mae Richardson of Conway; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; two stepsons, Terry Wayne Doyle of Effingham and Charles Michael Doyle and his wife, Cathy, of Cowards; four step grandchildren; and five step great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, September 9, 2006 from Piney Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. LeRoy Larrimore and the Rev. Jamie Montgomery officiating. Burial will follow in Old Neck Cemetery, directed by Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 6 until 8 p.m. Friday, September 8, 2006.
