MULLINS — Mrs. Ruby Isabella Elvis Johnson, 89, widow of Aubrey C. Johnson, died Friday, September 1, 2006, in Marion County Medical Center after an illness. Graveside services will be held 3 p.m. Sunday, September 3, in Fork Baptist Church Cemetery, with Rev. Eric Freeman and Rev. Archie Prevatte officiating. The services will be directed by Cox-Collins Funeral Home. Mrs. Johnson was born October 26, 1916, in Horry County, a daughter of the late Julian Alston Elvis and the late Ruby Victoria Grainger Elvis. She was a retired textile and a member of Fork Baptist Church. Surviving Mrs. Johnson are two sons, Leon E. Johnson and his wife, Mary F., of Fork and Benny E. Johnson of Mullins; two daughters, Shelby J. Hayes and her husband, L. Garrett, of Lake View and Lenetta J. Rogers and her husband, Hartsell, of Ford; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by two sons, Herman A. Johnson and Danny R. Johnson. Visitation will be held Saturday evening from 6 til 8 p.m. at Cox-Collins Funeral Home.
