    3. I would be grateful for any information on a Neill Graham in Marion County, alive in 1869? (There are no Graham researchers listed in the Marion RootsWeb pages!!!) I have recently found probate records indicating that my 2nd great-grandmother, Martha Bethea Sherrod, married Neill Graham after the death of my 2ggfather, Richard Sherwood (yes, a name morph from Sherrod to Sherwood). Richard died in 1863. Two records noted in Lucille Utley, "Marion County Probate Records, Vol. 3," point to this marriage: Roll #2134 Richard Sherwood.... Neill Graham and wife Martha filed petition 23 March 1869.... (page 227); Roll # 2121 William Bethea.... Warrant of Appraisement 7 Sept 1875.... Children of William Bethea and Sarah Bethea: ....Martha Graham... (page 225). So, they were married by March of 1869. I can find no record of them in the 1870 census (no surprise!). He may be dead by the Sept 1875 proceeding, as all of the other husbands are mentioned with the Bethea women heirs. Further, Martha, known as Patsy or Pat, is listed in the 1880 Marion County census as Patsy Sherwood with her son John (by Richard Sherwood) - she is no longer Martha Graham (Harlleesville Twp., H/H 239, next to her daughter, Sarah Ann Sherrod who married Wm. Davis - H/H 240). She is buried in the Bethea-Sherwood Sweat Swamp Cemetery near Little Rock, now Dillon County, SC. I have noticed many Neill Grahams in Robeson County, NC, and have checked all of the census records for them in 1870. None are the household in question. I did note an 1875 will in the NC Archives for a Neill Graham from Robeson - the date would fit the above picture. Would any Graham researchers happen to have or know of the particulars of this will? Thanks for any help you might offer. Bill Tate
