    3. Donali, It appears that at least Wm. J. McAlister is in the Clan McAlister of America J11 line. Suggest you confer with the CMA J11 Line Coordinator, Jeff McAllister, as well as Mike and Susan McAllister who are apparently in this William's direct line. You will see that I am sending them a copy of this correspondence. The J11 line was heavily entrenched in Williamsburg County generations before 1836 and places all south of Marion County from what I have been able to determine. Jeff McAllister has been suggesting a Marion County, or upper Pee Dee River, family connection, for some time, but I have yet to see, or find, any evidence of it. Am hopeful you can provide a link as we all believe that these families were originally from Argyllshire in Scotland.
