Marie P. Best Marie Perritt Best, 69, wife of the late Wilbur Beaty Sr., died Saturday, Nov. 24, 2001, at Chippenham Hospital in Richmond, Va. She was born in Horry County, a daughter of the late Simpson and Hettie Wiggins Perritt. Survivors include six sons, Donald Anderson of Richmond, Beaty Best of Amelia, Samuel Best and Grayson Best both of Myrtle Beach, Douglas Best of Wilmington, N.C., and Thomas Best of Columbia; three daughters, Elsie Best Livesay of Amelia, and Carolyn Freyer and Hilda Leloudis both of Wilmington; three brothers, Phillip Perritt of Marion, Levern Perritt and Paul Perritt both of Richmond; 20 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter, Mary Princess Anne Mann. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 tonight at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins.The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Sandy Plains Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Church Cemetery. Meares Funeral Home in Mullins is in charge.
