Georgia Grainger NICHOLS -- Services for Georgia Mae Grainger, 97, will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, November 2, 2001 at Pleasant View Baptist Church with the Rev. Rick Watson officiating. Burial will follow in Pleasant View Baptist Church Cemetery. Visitation will be 7-9 this evening at Cox- Collins Funeral Home. Memorials may be made to Pleasant View Baptist Church, 13403 Highway 19, Nichols SC 29581. Miss Grainger died Tuesday, October 30, 2001 at her residence after an illness. Born August 23, 1904 in Horry County, she was a daughter of the late Colon C. Grainger and the late Georgiana Sarvis Grainger. Miss Grainger was a homemaker and a farmer. She was a very active lifelong member of Pleasant View Baptist Church. Surviving are her nieces and nephews, Marie G. Tobin of Nichols, Miriam G. Olsen of Mount Pleasant, Charles Douglas Grainger of Nichols, Clarence Willoughby and his wife, Mildred of Tabor City, N.C., Essie Brinkley and her husband, Bill of Myrtle Beach, Bernice Ray and her husband, J.C. of Tabor City, N.C., Aileene Hatley of Wilmington, N.C., Ann Snyder of Wilmington, N.C., Jean Dowling of Westfield, N.C. and Luther "Buzz" Grainger and his wife, Sally of Maryland; several great-nieces and great-nephews.
