MARION Valeria S. McRae Valeria Smith McRae, 67, widow of Cecil K. McRae, died Sunday, Nov. 4, 2001, at McLeod Regional Medical Center after an illness. She was born Jan. 26, 1934, in Marion County, a daughter of the late George Bright Smith Sr.and Fleetwood Baxley Smith. She worked as a pharmacy assistant. She was a member of Marion Baptist Church. Survivors include a daughter, Lynn Taylor of Ridgeland; a son, Ken McRae of Orangeburg; five grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; two sisters, Margaret Lane of Hartsville and Mable Edwards of Bladenboro, N.C.; and a brother, George Bright Smith Jr. of Mullins. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. tonight at Smith-Collins Funeral Home. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, at the funeral home. The burial will be in Devotion Gardens Cemetery.
