Sandy, Please excuse my scatter-brained behavior but I did find a Jesse Spivey in the same census as follows : Jesse age 34 , Sarah age 33, Henry age 8 , Mary age 7 , Joseph T(?) age 5 and Polly J age 5 ----all b. S Carolina . I had run accross this family earlier and almost forgot about them.
