Benjamin Sr"s son THOMAS BRIDGES married SARAH ROPER before 1829 in Meriwether Co.,GA. Both buried in Macon Co. GA. Thomas born in Marion, SC children: Rev. Peter Bridges, Benjamin Bridges, John Bridges, William Jefferson Bridges, Elizabeth Bridges, Lucinda Bridges, James Madison Bridges, Mary Bridges, Thomas Bridges, Preston Bridges.. SARAH ROPER was the daughter of JOHN ROPER and MARGARET CAPLE, according to my documents. I have two children for them, SARAH and a brother FREDERICK. Whether this is the husband of Elizabeth, I do not know at this time. Benjamin Sr's dau. ELIZABETH BRIDGES married FREDERICK S. ROPER, b. North Rockingham, NC; married in Meriwether Co., GA. Eliz. Born in Marion, SC; son, Caswell Roper. Benjamin's dau. MARGARETT BRIDGES married WILLIAM CAPLE, b. NC, she b. Marion, SC; m. 07 Sept 1837, Meriwether Co.,GA; children: Thomas Calvin, Elizabeth, Betsy, William T., Lucinda, Gustus, Britton. How WILLIAM CAPLE is kin to MARGARET CAPLE, wife of JOHN ROPER mentioned above, I do not know. My line extends from Benjamin SR's son Benjamin Jr., who married MARY CIVAL HENAGAN in SC; they later moved to GA, then on to Little Rock, Arkansas, where they both died.
