    1. [SCMARION-L] GALE Surname
    2. I'm really excited about what I read here. Jo you really went out of your way to help me. OK, I am a descendant from the Harrison Gale you mentioned. He was my 3rd great grandfather. I can't prove it yet but I think this Samuel Gale may be Harrison's father. Harrison GALE b.1804 in SC m. Mary A. ? (last name unknown) Solomon b.1829 SC m. Jincy WADE Nancy b. 1835 SC m. Joe E. KELLY Stephen b. 1834 SC m. Jane RAYMOND m. Annie RANIER Sarah B. b. 1836 SC m ? Henry b. 1838 SC m. Sarah or Sally Elizabeth b.1842 SC m. NC GALE, Harrison with wife living with daughter Nancy and spouse Joe Kelly 1870 Cumberland Co. NC GALE, Solomon with wife Jincy with 6 children 1880 Cumberland Co. NC GALES, Stephen with wife Jane and 4 children 1900 Cumberland Co. NC GALES, Stephen (wife deceased) with 4 children 1910 Richmond Co. NC GALES, Stephen with 3 children and 2 grandchildren I am assuming that Harrison died between 1870 and 1880 in Harnet Co, NC. Son Solomon died 1874 i don't know where yet. Son Stephen died in 1919 in Guilford Co., NC. This is my 2nd great grandfather. Son Henry died at Cold Harbor, VA. Harrison served in the War between the States and was discharged at the age of 70. Sons Solomon, Stephen and Henry also served in the War. >From what I can tell so far is that Harrison's children followed the cotton mills. I can't say I have any connection to the Goodyear's or Harrelson's. I will have to check other records I have and see if there is something I have dismissed not knowing that there is a connection. I know very little about Harrison's wife Mary A. And I'm afraid to say I don't know of any siblings for Harrison at this time either. I will close for now, thanks go out to you Jo, Helen and Terrill.
