The State (Columbia): Wednesday, July 11, 2001 McRoy Dimmery MULLINS (--) Services for McRoy Dimmery, 75, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2001 at Cox-Collins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Glenn Brown and the Rev. Hoyt King officiating. Interment will follow in Devotion Gardens Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Woodlawn Park Baptist Church Building Fund, P.O. Box 414, Mullins, SC. Mr. Dimmery, widower of Myrtle Bass Dimmery, died Sunday, July 8, 2001 in Marion County Medical Center after an illness. Born in Horry County, May 18, 1926, he was a son of the late Daniel Hugee Dimmery and Ella Jane Larrimore Dimmery. He was a retired small engine repairman, a farmer and a World War II U.S. Army veteran. Mr. Dimmery was also a member of the American Legion, Post #89 and was a member of Woodlawn Park Baptist Church. Surviving are sons and daughters-in-law, LeRoy and Vivian Dimmery and Wayne and Sabrina Dimmery, all of Mullins and Eldon Ray and Pat Dimmery of Nichols; daughters and son-in-law, Peggy and Lavern Floyd and Willa Dean Herrington of Mullins and Linda Belle Sarvis of Nichols; sisters, Mary D. Harrelson of Mullins and Berlyn Dimmery of Columbia; 14 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Mr. Dimmery was predeceased by a son, Ronnie G. Dimmery.
