    3. The Sun News AYNOR Henry I. Squires Henry Isaac Squires, 82, of Grange Road, died Saturday, July 14, 2001, at home after an illness. He was born in Horry County, a son of the late Jeremiah and Martha Caroline Jenerette Squires. He attended Aynor High School and farmed before being drafted into the Army during World War II, serving as a sergeant in the 85th Division. He received the Bronze Star Medal, the Good Conduct Medal, the American Campaign Medal, the European-African-Middle Eastern Campaign Medal with three Bronze Stars, the World War II Victory Medal, the Combat Infantryman Badge and the Honorable Service Lapel Button World War II during his time of service. He resumed farming after the service and upon retirement, worked 10 years as an Horry County court bailiff. He had been a faithful member of Salem Baptist Church, where he served in many capacities. Survivors include his wife, Elaine Cox Squires; two sons, Charles H. Squires and his wife, Wanda, and Richard I. Squires, both of Aynor; two daughters, Jennifer Dusenberry and her husband, Paul, of Aynor and Mary Alice Watson and her husband, John, of Conway; a sister, Jeanwood Squires of National City, Calif.; six grandchildren, Bryan Squires, Katherine Squires, Elena Dusenberry, Sarah Dusenberry, Austin Wilson and Martha Wilson; and a stepgrandson, Blake Graham. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. today at Salem Baptist Church. The Rev. Wayne Revisky and the Rev. Gary Harrelson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
