George Clark of Marion SC had a daughter named Meedy who was mentioned in his probate records around 1841-42 as both Meedy Rogers and later as Meedy Tart. Meedy Rogers was head of household on the 1820 Marion Co., SC census with 2 young females and 2 young males. One researcher found a record where Robert Rogers of Marion Co. warned folks not to give Meedy Rogers any credit because he would not be responsible for her debts. This was in one of Lucille Utley's books. Would someone please look this up for me and give me the date, book and page number? If there is any other information on Robert Rogers, that would be appreciated too. It's not known if they divorced or he died or what. Meedy was listed as a wife of John G. Tart from Marion SC on the 1850 Monroe Co., AL census but further information indicates that she was not his wife :O( Any help would be so nice. I love this list! Nell
