Finger Clinic was in Marion, S.C. Helen The Sun News 7/4/2001 NICHOLS Elliott Finger Dr. Elliott Finger, 91, died Tuesday, July 3, 2001, at home after an illness. He was born in Orangeburg, a son of the late Morris Finger and Sarah "Sorrell" Pliskin Finger. He graduated from the College of Charleston and the Medical University of South Carolina in 1933. He practiced medicine in Ninety Six and moved to Marion in 1935, continuing to practice medicine. He was founder of Finger Clinic Hospital in 1946 and served in World War II as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Army Medical Corp. He was past president of Temple Beth Israel and was very active in the Lions Club. He was founder and president of Florida-Carolina Land Development Co., Carolina-Bahamas Land Development Company and Carolina-Caribbean Corp. Survivors include his wife, Kathryn Smith Finger; two sons, Jeremy Morris Finger of Myrtle Beach and Dr. Elliott Ronald Finger of Savannah, Ga.; three daughters, Melony Sorrell Finger of Myrtle Beach, Stephanie Finger White of Granite Falls, N.C., and Daryl Finger Dowding of Tampa, Fla.; 12 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren. He was predeceased by a daughter, Joyce Finger Barth, and a sister, Esther Finger Addlestone. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Richardson Funeral Home in Nichols.
