Tart with whom Meedy was evidently living in Alabama? I'd love to know if I have the right idea here. Also, did it appear that Meedy and John G. Tart had any descendants in Alabama? I believe the family of Roderick and Nancy went to Henderson County, Tennessee, before winding up in Yalabosa County, Mississippi. (By the way I think some of the Deer family went from old Marion County, SC, to Henderson County, Tennessee--and I have wondered if the migration was at the same time.) Thanks. 3. Hello list, I would be interested in any information concerning Roderick Tart or Nancy Kennedy. Thanks, Doris Tartt "Larry H. 3. Larry, You have the right picture. John G. Tart was in Monroe Co, Ala in the 1840 census and I have seen that Roderick Tart was in Henderson Co., Tn. in 1840. I believe the Nancy Kennedy who was his wife was the grandaughter of George Clark. As for descendants for John G. Tart and Meedy, well I just don't know. I posted his will on the Marion County site where he named his daughter, Catherine Bethea, wife of Goodman Bethea and named his son, John C. Tart, as heirs. I don't know if these two were Meedy's children or not. Meedy did have children and I believe two of them were Kenion Rogers who married Mary Clark (another grandchild of George and Sarah Clark through Delilah Clark) and Emily Rogers who married John Lowe in 1837 in Monroe Co., Ala. That is my husband's line. I say I believe they were her children, but I have no bible record or probate record to prove it. John G. Tart did sign for Emily Rogers to marry John Lowe. Maybe another researcher will see this and add to it as she has probate records to back parts of it up. John C. Tart, son of John G. Tart, was in Monroe Co., Ms. in 1860 and Kenion Rogers was in Monroe Co., Ala. in 1860. Do you happen to have the Lucille Utley book that mentions Robert Rogers not being responsible for Meedy's bills? I'd sure like to have that refference again. Thanks for responding.
