The State (Columbia): Wednesday, July 18, 2001 Mary Brunson DARLINGTON (--) Services for Mary Lee Harbin Brunson, 86, will be held at 4 p.m. Thursday at Trinity United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Grove Hill Cemetery directed by Belk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8 this evening at the home, 112 Williamson Place, Darlington. Memorials may be made to Trinity United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 16, Darlington, SC 29540 or Carolina's Hospital System Hospice, 847 S. Irby St., Florence, SC 29501. Mrs. Brunson, wife of Robert Benjamin Brunson for 63 years, died Monday evening, July 16, 2001 in her residence after an illness. Born in Marion, she was a daughter of the late Hal Henderson and Helen Grace Johnston Harbin. She moved to Florence at an early age where she taught in the Darlington School System and then in the Florence School System for 25 years. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church as well as past president of Women of the Church, a member of the Thursday Book Club, Garden Club and the Retired Teacher's Association. Surviving are her husband, of the home; daughters, Katherine Lynette Brunson Wright of Darlington, Mary Ann Brunson (Richard) Nash of Florence and Nancy Elizabeth Brunson (Rich) Clifford of Seabrook, Texas; grandchildren, Ben Wright, Kathryn Nash, Richard Nash Jr., Robert Nash, Richard Clifford and Brandon Clifford; great-grandchild, Bryan Wright; sister, Martha "Tot" Bryant of Florence; brother-in-law, Hugh Brunson of Darlington; sister-in-law, Catherine "Cappy" Brunson of Darlington. Mrs. Brunson was preceded in death by a sister, Katherine Harbin Pike.
