GRANBURY, TEXAS Robert E. Ward Major Robert E. "Bob" Ward, 78, died Saturday, July 28, 2001, at home. He was born Aug. 21, 1922, in Dillon. He married Mildred L. Rousseau on Oct. 22, 1946, in Weatherford, Texas. He was a member of the Methodist Church and a resident of Granbury since 1970. He was a former resident of Myrtle Beach. Survivors include his wife; two sisters, Marjorie Cromartie Oliver of Dillon and Annie Ruth Ward Doar of Greensboro, N.C.; several nieces and nephews; several great-nieces and great-nephews; and two sisters-in-law, Leona Smith and Opal Cogdill, both of Granbury. He was predeceased by two brothers, Willie J. Ward and Kenneth E. Ward, and two sisters, Hazel L. Jones Brown and Dorothy Ward Steele. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel of Martin's Funeral Home in Granbury. The Rev. Hiram Johnson will officiate. Burial will be in Rough Creek Cemetery in Hood County, Texas. Pallbearers will be the U.S. Air Force Honor Guard
