The Sun News Myrtle Beach, S.C. published Saturday July 7, 2001 GALIVANTS FERRY Annie Burns Annie Ruth Collins Burns, 73, of Legend Road, died Thursday, July 5, 2001, at Conway Hospital after an illness. She was born in Galivants Ferry, a daughter of the late Robert Tilman and Katie Fannie Harrelson Collins. She attended Gethsemane Freewill Baptist Church and retired from General Electric Corp. Survivors include three sons, Jack Burns of Galivants Ferry, James Burns and his wife, Barbara T. Burns, of Aiken, Ronald Burns of Evans, Ga.; a sister, Mary Sue Doris of Fayetteville, N.C.; and two grandchildren; Constance Annie Burns and Daniel Jason Burns, both of Aiken. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home. The Rev. Norris Powell will officiate.
