    3. Lisa, I have just broken down a twenty year old brick wall that led me back to a Rev. Richard Welch who lived in the Hebron Section of Marlboro, was a minister of the Meth. Church, and was married to an Annie Smith who was born in 1811, and had a brother named Peter. That is the extent of the knowledge I have on this Smith family. I thought to myself, well, finding her parents will probably be like looking for the proverbial 'needle in a haystack'. With the Hebron section of Marlboro so close to the old Marion Co. line, and so many of my family members moving back and forth, this might be one of the many doing the crossing. You mentioned there has been a lot here about a Meth. minister named Moses Smith. Well, I know absolutely nothing about him. Can you give me a clue as to whether he had a daughter and son named Annie and Peter? I am reading the journal of the itinerant minister, Charles Woodmason, who wrote " The Carolina Backcountry On The Eve of the Rev. War." He was all over the place, and his travels , I am told, were written up very candidly. Thanks. Joanne Harley New Bern,NC
