GALIVANTS FERRY David Strickland David Strickland, 53, died Saturday, July 21, 2001. He was born in Lumberton, N.C., a son of the late Leo and Eula Mae Ivey Strickland. He was a member of Cedar Creek Baptist Church and Woodmen of the World. Survivors include his wife, Pat Strickland; a daughter, Emily Strickland; and a sister, Jaxie Huggins of Marion. Visitation will be from 7 to 9 tonight at Meares Funeral Home in Mullins. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be in Rehobeth United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be employees of Eagle Transport Co. Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association, 181 E.
